Spixels come from two words - Special Pixels.
Spixels is an annual, pan India photography challenge of photographs clicked by Specially-abled or rather differently-abled children & adults.
It is free for the participants.
We receive online entries, shortlist them, put up an exhibition for these short-listed pictures, bring in judges to choose the top 5, get them signed by a celebrity & return them to winners.
Spixels is a non-profit arm for ABMS
SPIXELS 2019 & SINCE...
Spixels 2019 saw more than 200 entries, 9 state participation, 74 pictures exhibited, and 9 pictures autographed by the superstar Mr. Amitabh Bachchan himself.
Spixels 2020 saw a closed-door showcase of around 100 entries, out of which 35 pictures were showcased and 7 were the winners, signed by Mr. Mani Ratnam.
Spixels 2021 saw 180+ entries with 52 pictures being showcased and the winning 5 pictures were autographed by Padmashri Santosh Sivan.
Spixels 2022 saw around 150+ entries, with 5 winners from across India & pictures were gracefully signed by Mr Daboo Ratnani.
Spixels 2023 carried forward the legacy & the top 5 pictures were to be signed by none other than Sir Ratan Tata, however, he left for heavenly abode before signing.
Spixels 2024 had around 300+ entries with top 5 pictures to be signed by a popular figure.
